Early Childhood Education (ECD) is the most critical stage of a child’s educational development and has a very significant lifelong effect on the psychosocial and physical development. Education and care at this stage is key to the development of a healthy and well balanced adolescent and adult personality.
The potential benefits from supporting early childhood development not only include improved growth and development and better schooling outcomes but also increased productivity in life.. Since 2005, TEPAD has supported early childhood education through construction of ECD classes, kitchens, food stores and water tanks in public primary schools in Nandi County of Kenya.
